Heart & Kin is built around the things you keep close. Not because they are precious, but because they are used. Carried on ordinary days. Reached for without thinking.
The name says most of what we mean. Heart, for the things that matter to you. Kin, for the sense of belonging that comes from living with something familiar rather than simply owning it.
Every bag has a name
Not a code, not a style number. The names come from one small vocabulary. Shelter, belonging, and the ordinary business of holding and being held. It isn't decoration. It is the reason the brand exists.
Harbour, the place you come back to.
Nest, the home you build yourself.
Hearth, the warm middle of a house.
Haven, the room where nothing is asked of you.
Kindred, the people who feel like yours.
Embrace, the shape of an arm around a shoulder.
Carry, the thing we do for one another.
Drift, the days you let carry you.
We begin with leather bags. Pieces shaped to be worn close to the body, easy to live with, and considered rather than loud. Shape, texture and proportion come first. Everything else follows.
What we don't do
A brand this young has to be clear about what it isn't.
We don't claim a heritage we don't have. No invented founding year, no imaginary workshop, no family of artisans three generations deep.
We don't publish a measurement, a material or a delivery date we haven't checked ourselves. Where we don't know yet, we say we don't know yet.
No countdown timers. No invented reviews. No permanent sale. No urgency you didn't arrive with.
And when something takes longer than you would like, we would rather tell you here than in an apology afterwards.
Where our bags are made
Our bags are made in China, by the partner workshop we work with, and sent to you directly from there rather than from a warehouse in Britain.
That is why a full cowhide bag is £59 to £79 here rather than three times that, and it is also why delivery takes 7 to 13 working days rather than two. Both things are true at once, and we would rather you knew both before you order than after.
Heart & Kin isn't built to stay one thing. It is built around a way of choosing that is quiet, personal and unhurried, and that can carry us into whatever comes next.
This is a brand for people who trust their own eye. We would rather earn that trust slowly than ask for it upfront.
Heart & Kin is a trading name of Ninth Solution Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16311696.
