The cord passes through a leather disc behind the flower rather than being glued to it. That matters twice over: there is no glue line to fail, and the flower slides. Set it in the hollow of the throat, off to one side, or at the hip when you wear it long.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCowhide throughout, cord and petals both. Ours is the plain hide. What you see is the flesh side of the same piece of leather, left as it is: no fabric, no glue, nothing to fray or peel away from the shell.
